Peter Thomas Roth

I'm not going to lie.  I found out about PTR by watching Rich Kids of Beverly Hills.
I told you I was addicted to reality tv trash.
But I'm also addicted to face products.

I have since stopped watching the show and reading Morgan's blog because it was driving me crazy.  I can't say I'll never watch the show again, but her blog is dead to me.
She had a launch party for that crap??  I digress...

Peter Thomas Roth
Therapeutic Sulfur Masque

At $40 (without coupons), this baby is amazing.
You know it's working as soon as it hits your face.
I apply the mask while blow drying my hair about twice a week.
The directions say "once a week".  I would stick with that unless you're like me and can't stop.  It's the summer and I'm a little oily due to the humidity so a little drying action is ok by me.

This mask does what is says it will do:
A skin-clearing masque that banishes blemishes and unclogs pores for a flawless complexion.
My skin feels bright and smooth after every use and I haven't had a "monthly break out" since I started using it!

At once a week, it will last you forever.

Tons of coupons and freebies at RetailMeNot

I also love the PTR Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads

I dont know how well they work (YET), but they tingle and leave my face feeling super clean.
I use them every other day.

Chicago Marathon Training

I am currently training for my 3rd marathon - Chicago!
I've done the PF Changs Rock n Roll Marathon in AZ and the Marine Corps Marathon in DC.
Both times I swore I would NEVER do it again.
And here I am...

A lot of this has to do with my running group.  I now have a dedicated group of amazing women (moms) who love to run and motivate each other.  Last year many of them did the Marine Corps Marathon.  I found myself envious and wishing I was there too.  I joined 3 lotteries this year and secretly hoped I wouldn't get picked for any, lol.  I didn't get picked for NYC, but was chosen for both the Marine Corps and Chicago.  I chose Chicago because
a) I've never done it before
b) It's "flat and fast"
c) My husband is a huge Bears fan
d) It's one of the most popular marathons in the world!

I want to document my progress this time.  I am more dedicated and have been much more into running than ever before.  And smarter.
I honestly can't even remember timing my runs during previous trainings!
I had no idea what I was doing, lol.

So... a little late to the game, but here's a training recap thus far!

Family Time

Spending time with family is so important.
Both my family and my husband's family live near by.
I often have dreams of living in another state, but it would be so hard.
I just can't imagine living my entire life in one area.  Isn't that doing this beautiful world an injustice?
However, I see many families around me that are in the military and dont have anyone close by.
I know how fortunate we are.
To give that up right now, with the kids so being young, would be silly.

This was an impromptu morning at the pool with Mamaw and Papaw.

However, if I ever did move, I would love to live in Florida.
I hate the cold.  I'm over the snow.  I'd love to be near a beach.
Walks on the beach, runs on the beach, picnics on the beach, coffee on the beach...
One day.

Urban Decay Primer

I have purchased this product over and over and over again.
I use less than a pea size every morning so every purchase last me for MONTHS.

This is Urban Decay Primer.

It comes in 3 colors - Original, Sin (above), and Eden.

Retails for $20.00

I have tried Original and it's great, but Sin is my favorite.
I rub it over my entire eyelid and even without eyeshadow it gives my eye a glow and makes them seem more open and awake.
When I use eyeshadow with the primer, it stays in place all day.  There are times when I touch it up after work, but it's not always necessary.
This is a staple in my make-up bag!

It's sold at multiple locations, but I prefer Sephora or Ulta!

Besides all the freebies Sephora offers, the coupon codes are ENDLESS!

NYX

I subscribe to Birchbox and Ipsy.
For $10/month, I receive a cute little box filled with samples and goodies!
I am a product junkie so this is right up my alley!

I absolutely love both subscriptions... even if I dont use all the items I receive.
Most of the time I will give them to my mom or a friend.

Last month, in my Ipsy box, I received a new lipgloss.

NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee

I love it!  The title is fitting - "butter gloss".  The color is sheer and it feels amazing.
I had to go out and get another color (Vanilla Creme Pie) immediately!

At $4.99 a gloss, you can't beat it!
Right now Ulta (online) is offering buy one, get one 50% off!

Or you can use your RetailMeNot coupon!
Take $3.50 Off Your Purchase of $10 or More In-Store & Online. Offer Ends 7/26/14.

Run Rest Repeat

A couple girls in my running group wore this shirt a few weeks ago.
I went out and bought it immediately!
Who would have thought Old Navy has fun work-out gear?

So cute and only $15 w/o a coupon code (see below)!

However, I suggest you ALWAYS search for a coupon before purchasing ANYTHING!
My favorite site is RetailMeNot.
They have a site and an app... I use it all the time

Here's an Old Navy coupon code for 25% off or 30% of $75 of more:
